Hi
This week the Spirit
of Christmas hit me like a truck! ♥️ excuse the cliché but it was a wonderful
time to be a missionary representing our Savior Jesus Christ!
Our ward is seriously
AMAZING! They decided for the World-Wide Day of Service they would do a
Christmas Market and to raise money for the local Ronald McDonald House. Each
auxiliary has been working so hard on different crafts and assignments in order
to have this beautiful market! They were also working hand in hand with the
missionaries and it was just amazing. Everyone came together in service and even
though we were all tuckered out by the end, it went really great! We raised
over 1,500 euros to donate and we still have stuff left over that we can sell
next year! Members that are willing to go out of their way to invite their
friends and families to activities have my deepest gratitude and respect. There
is no greater service that we can do than to share this with those we love.
It was really cool because
we met a girl on the street named Franciele a couple of weeks ago and we got to
have a first lesson with her this week. We taught her the restoration and she
really liked it. We invited her to the Christmas Market and she was so excited!
She asked if she could volunteer! So, she help us at a booth selling
Kinderpunsch!
Also, funny story.
Sister Jensen and I stopped this 7 ft tall guy on the street and he turned out
to be a basketball player for the local basketball team (Tübingen Tigers). His
name is Rob. He had some friends from back home (Canada) that were members, so
he knew a little bit about what we believed, and he agreed to exchange numbers.
I was not expecting too much to come out of it because he did not seem too
interested, but we met with him this week and it went great! He was so easy to
talk to and had some really great ideas. He expressed his confusion with all of
the different churches and he told us that he is searching for the right one.
We hope that curiosity turns into sincere desire!
Have a joy filled
week!
Love, your girl!

- For P-day an
adorable American couple in our ward asked if we wanted to go to a Christmas
Market with them! They stopped by the American Base on our way and let us pick
out a couple of American treats! Including Krispy Kremes, Pop Tarts, and Lucky
Charms.
- Elder Sabin of the
area 70 came to visit our Mission so we had quite a fun trip to Munich! They
rented a big bus to take all the missionaries from Stuttgart over to Munich! I
was so grateful for all that I learned. My favorite part was as we were nearing
the end he extended each of us a special invitation. He said, "Elders and
Sisters, I want to invite you to start a new mission today. No matter if you
are 1 month out or about to go home. Your mission starts today." I loved
that feeling. It was another opportunity for my "moment of decision".
Every day is a new day.
- There is a Chocolate
Market going on in Tübingen and it is making our finding experiences a bit
interesting!
