Hey Leute!
Well, I will probs
skype again, so I will keep this kind of short!
Cool experience from
this week: We are teaching a SUPER adorable girl named Yan-Rong. She moved here
from Taiwann to do her studies! We have a member family from the Phillipines
and when Yan-Rong came to a Ward Fasching Party, the family threw their hands around
her and said, "Hey! We are neighbors!" It was so cute. She had so
much fun at the party and getting to know the members. We stepped out of the
party for a little bit to give her a church tour and, of course, we showed her
the baptismal font. We taught her about baptism and we could see that she was
really deep in thought. She asked a lot of really good questions and then we
moved on! We had a lesson with her a couple of days later and we followed up
with her from thoughts that she had at the part. She said, "When you
talked about baptism, I felt something really funny in my chest. It was like
deja vu. It was a really good feeling and it was just very happy!" We
asked her to describe it further and she said, "It was like something was
telling me, 'Now is your time to learn about this'". Well that was a
miracle. Yan-Rog has always been very intrigued by the Christian faith,
although she has little to no background with it. What she was explaining was
the Holy Ghost.
Sometimes we promise
people that if they will pray about the Book of Mormon, they will receive an
answer and they try it, and NOTHING HAPPENS. Sometimes atheist say things on
the street that cut so deeply. Even religious people who I connected with have
ended our beautiful conversation with spite in their voices as they said the
words, "I don't need your book OR your prophets." I have never
doubted, but it was AMAZING to feel all the negative experiences that have
piled up over the months to just disappear as I saw a young girl, who doesn’t
know God and who cannot wrap her mind around the idea of the Holy Ghost, receive
a witness from on high that this is her time to learn about the sacred
ordinance of baptism.
The Church is true,
and our testimony will strengthen as we see it work wonders in the lives of
those around us!
Love ya fam! Talk to
you soon!

- My crazy District
Family
- At the Missionary
Leadership Council this week, we took a picture of some Alumni Tubingen
Missionaries. We sent it to the Relief Society group chat and they all
flipped!
- Sister Magleby got a
concussion this week because of a crazy Bus Driver soooo that is fun! She has
to take it a bit slow for a couple of weeks, so we are doing our best!
- We heard the best BYU devotional ever. Imagine
the Sunscreen Song times 10! It is called "Unleashing the Dormant
Spirit" by Elder F. Enzio Busche. My favorite quote from it was,
"When you cannot love someone, look them in the eyes long enough to find
the hidden rudiments of the child of god within him". WATCH IT!
