Halöchen!
Well a dream of mine
was fulfilled this week! I got to shake Elder and Sister Uchtdorf’s hands! They
both addressed us in German and I loved every second of it! Elder Uchtdorf gave
us advice on finding and how to help the German people have the best chance at
receiving the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was so thrilling to receive
his council in his mother tongue. A theme from his talk that stood out to me
was "Haben Sie keine Angst" (Have no fear). He gave some pretty
strong and happily received advice, but he always followed with that sentence.
There is no need to fear the people or the language because we have the savior
on our side.
I also got to see
everyone that I love so much! Our MTC district (the original mission fam) had a
little reunion and took a picture together!
Little miracle from
this week: I was on exchanges with a new sister who had only been in the field
for about 2 weeks. She had never stopped someone on the street and she really
wanted to use our exchange to break through that barrier! She tried to get u
the courage a couple of times, but it was not quite enough. I gave her a little
nudge (literally) and she stopped a super cute, energetic, college student! The
girl that she stopped had heard about and studied about our church for the
first time ever THE DAY BEFORE we talked to her! We met with her this week and
she is just super sweet!
It was a lovely week to be a missionary!
