The One with Fasching
This
week has been great!
It has been filled with tons of traditions and tons of
changes!
I am staying in my area here in Singen. My new companion is
Sister Lohner from Provo Utah. She is the most down to earth person ever! She
is so sweet. The first day I thought that she had to be faking it because no
one could be that nice but turns out that it is possible! It has been
interesting making the changes necessary when you change companions, but Sister
Lohner is great. I actually gained a lot more confidence this week. I realized
that I can speak more German that I thought!
Sister Lohner and I are so stoked to help our ward. I actually
feel like I am starting to be able to do missionary work now that I am starting
to get my feet under me!
Fasching has been crazy!!! I do not have much time to explain
it, but it is like a week-long Halloween, but everyone goes crazy OVERBOARD!!!!
I love it! It kind of killed our finding because no one was in the right
mindset to hear the Gospel... BUT it was a great conversation starter to do
train contacting! SOOOOO CRAZZZYYYYY!!!!
I love you all! Please know that I pray for you and I am always
so grateful for all of your support. I am trying to be better every
day!
Love, Sister Reay
Random thoughts:
- We had to clean mold this week... GROSS!!!!
- For Fasching, they carry a tree around the town and then thy
set it up by hand
- Today, we carried 5,000 lbs of groceries for like 5,000 miles
to the Train station and my arms seriously felt like jello
- I accomplished one of my mission goals this week because my
companion told me that I slept talked in GERMAN!!! How cool is that!?! I almost
cried because I was so excited!
(So sorry for how short this email was, but we had a couple of
member appointments today, so we did not have much time!)

The One with all the Food Appointments
Hallo!
I am afraid this is going to be a short one because we are just
emailing between appointments! Transfers are tomorrow, and this week
has been so flippin crazy because all the members have wanted to have us over
before she goes home. We literally had to go home and lay down after one
appointment because she fed us SOOOO MUUUUCH FOOOOOD and she would not let us
leave until we ate it all. She thinks it is very rude if you do not eat all the
food, so we were literally crying inside with every bite and afterwards, we
felt so sick!!! Luckily the elders came to the appointment with us!!! The
member was so stinkin cute though. Her name is Sister Schäfer and she is from
Russia and she basically stole my heart.
Wish me luck this week with transfers! I am taking over the
Singen area and I am a bit nervous! I already met my new companion though because
we had stake conference and she is serving in Zürich right now. She is such a
sweet heart and I know that we will get along well... Bless up!
I love you all and I wish you the best this week! You are always
in my heart and in my prayers!
We did a service project and cleaned a member's house
Only about 1/5 of the food that she fed us
Sister Schäfer
I FOUND ELFER RAUS! And a master version! I was so excited!
